Halloween 2018

The day has finally come! It’s Halloween! I’m home alone this year but I still am going to making the most of my night.

Watch The Haunting of Hill House
Everyone has been talking about this remake of The Haunting of Hill House. I’m excited to watch it because the reviews have been out of this world. I’m not too much a fan of gore but thriller horror is something I enjoy. I love the chase between the afterlife and the humans in the world. I just have to make sure to keep the lights on!

Prepare a spooky dinner
It’s up to me to make dinner and I’ve decided on a spicy chicken sandwich with salad on the side. It doesn’t sound super spooky but the sauce is bloody red!

Jump into a familiar story
One of my favorite authors, Random Riggs, has his 4th installment on shelves now. It’s called A Map of Days and is part of the Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children book series. My old book club devoured this book and we even got our books signed by him! What makes this series so nice is that there are vintage photos to accompany the text. It’s a spooky picture book for young adult (and adult) audiences.

Enjoy Halloween treats
I’ve been too busy to bake this year so instead I picked up some of my favorite snacks. Brownies and chocolate chip cookies are in the house again but only because of Halloween!

Indulge with a face mask
I love the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution by The Ordinary. It helps by fighting blemishes and helps to reduce redness. It also fades scarring but is a bit too strong for daily use. I use it once a week along with my regular skincare routine (expect an update soon!) What also makes it festive is that it looks like blood! Once rubbed in though it goes invisible, do don’t worry!
