Friday Favorites Personal

Early Holiday Favorites: Nov 22, 2019

Whew this whole week has been a blur and to be frank, I’m a bit creatively exhausted. I can’t pinpoint if it’s because of my doctor’s appointment this week (more on that in a few weeks!) or if it’s end of the year burn out. Either way I’m ready for November to be over! I’m planning for Thanksgiving, readying the house for the holidays and trying to write a novel. So I’m going to take it a bit easy today and talk about my Friday Favorites.

I’m having some new guests this year for Thanksgiving so we’re going to Ikea tomorrow to get a few things. But that’s not all! I love their new VINTERFEST collection. I’ve got to pick up few things on my Christmas decoration list and I love the simple aesthetic. For my turkey, I’m going to be following a Cafe Delites’ roast turkey recipe. A part of me wants to keep a simple routine (since I’m the one doing all the cooking) and this looks perfect.

I’ve been trying to keep my hands moisturized and manicured this season. My nails have been brittle and polish keeps them from breaking. So I’ve been using the Rose Quartz Nail Art Set by Cirque Colors. It’s such a simple way to have nail art without the fuss. And it’s subtle so I can wear it for any occasion. And with the holidays coming up it would make a great stocking stuffer!

I’ve been playing Pokémon Shield before bedtime and I’m in love. There’s been a lot of negative talk about this newest chapter in the series but I’m having a great time. I feel a bit bad for pushing Pokémon Go aside for now. All of the new monsters look incredible too! It’s been difficult trying to figure out who to play with.

After I spend some time writing, I like to relax on the couch under the blankets. To unwind, I’ve been watching Rupaul’s Drag Race. The newest season is in the UK and it’s been a rollercoaster!

On the Youtube side of things, bestdressed has a new video about her capsule wardrobe. Going on vacation is the best time to develop a capsule wardrobe and so she talks about her experience. It’s an interesting watch and made me think about my own closet. I don’t have seasonal storage so I have all four seasons in one space. It makes me feel good to know I don’t need much through the year! I understand the holidays are always difficult to dress for but I haven’t had to buy anything new for a long time!

And the best for last! We got to see Halestorm again in concert and it was a fantastic performance. On the music front I’ve been listening to some dance music from my childhood. It’s amazing for keeping up both high energy and a positive attitude!
