I’ve already started on my Goodreads Challenge for this year by picking up two books, From Here to Eternity and Zom-B Clans. One is an audio book (and a super short one at that) for when I’m at my desk. The other is an Ebook for when I can’t sleep. I’ve only listed 20 books as my goal. But if I’m able to fit more in, you bet I will. That leaves the rest of the month to do other productive things. Let’s make a to do list.
Create a Travel Journal
I saw a few videos on Youtube about this and I’m in love. A few years ago I received a kit from a dear friend. But I still haven’t put it to use. I’ll need a few supplies but I want to put one together!
Try some new baking recipes
While I’m cutting back on my calorie intake for this year (I hope I can stay strong!) that doesn’t mean I want to stop baking. The internet makes it easy for me to find delicious foods in English. But translating those over into Dutch isn’t always an easy task. For example, chocolate chips are super expensive here! I want to shop smart and get them at a good deal. That also means that I’ll need to buy in bulk. I’m not ready for that!
Put things away
Putting away things is an odd thing to add to a to do list. I’m often guilty of taking things out and not putting them away. I want to get into the habit of returning things to their homes so that the house is less cluttered.
Clean out my photo folders
Since I started blogging, I’ve saved most, if not all, the photos I’ve ever taken. As you can imagine, this leaves my hard drive both full and unorganized. I’ve got a lot of images I’ll never use. I want to update my older blog photos and then delete any photos that aren’t up to my standards. This can mean anywhere from a blurry photo to one with a less than ideal angle or content.
This January will be a bit more relaxed than last year but that doesn’t mean I should slack off. What are you plans for this month?
